MIUI 13 file manager shows what apps will look like in the next operating system

Not much is currently known about Xiaomi’s next big MIUI update. However, judging from a previous “leak”, MIUI 13 is indeed confirmed to be under development.

The leak in question was made with the latest version of the MIUI Cleaner app, the changelog of which revealed that the app is in the process of adapting to MIUI 13.

MIUI 13 would arrive on all Xiaomi and Poco devices currently running or at least eligible for Android 11. This includes most devices released around the same time as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8.

Although we have only had small hints of the next update so far, the latest version of the Mi File Manager app which went live in China yesterday has now given a good preview for the premiere. times of what apps will look like on MIUI 13 and envy.

The app carries the version number and features a redesigned home screen with new icons and an updated folder user interface.

You also get some pretty cool new animations by changing the storage view sort setting. Folders and files are now realigned in a fascinating way – almost as if they were small, physical, animated objects.

It happens when the current latest version of Mi Global File Manager (which is available on the Play Store for everyone) is in dire need of a UI refresh. Its current state makes it look like something straight out of the now obsolete MIUI 10.

It is not known when MIUI 13 v4.3.0.2 File Manager will arrive in MIUI Global branch or if it will be released with MIUI 12.5.

You can always try it out by downloading it from this link, that is to say if it is compatible with the global variant of MIUI.

Having said that, the Mi File Manager app is not the only app that has already been prepared for MIUI 13, as it is attached to the Mi Drive utility.


The app has been updated to match the MIUI file manager interface, indicating that other system apps may receive similar UI updates in time.
